DAY 1: ARRIVAL - SIEM REAP – DISCOVERY OF THE HEART OF ANGKOR (L/D)
Welcome to Siem Reap!
Upon your arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, meet our guide and driver transfer to check in hotel to store luggage (Early check in depend on the availability, official time is 14:00). We will enter the South Gate of Angkor Thom Temple and marvel the wonders of the eerie Bayon, the terrace of Elephants and terrace of Leper King. Ta Prohm Temple: Unlike most of the other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has been left just it was founded: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. In the afternoon, we visit the famous Angkor Wat, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. The largest and best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center—first Hindu, then Buddhist—since its foundation. Accommodation in Siem Reap
DAY 2: SIEM REAP – KULEN MOUNTAIN – TONLE SAP LAKE (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel, this morning we enjoy a drive out from Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen. Walk along the sacred river "thousands lingas" whose waters are considered since ancient times and the bottom of which are carved hundreds of figurines of Indian deities and sacred symbols - lingas. Transfer to the sacred mountain Phnom Kulen and visiting the temple on the mountain. Then move to the waterfall (provided for swimming). Enjoy packed Indian lunch near waterfall.
Option 1 – Validity Whole Years around
Afternoon, we climb down and continue to enjoy a wooden boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to Chong Kneas visit the floating village that completes with schools, hospitals, restaurants, shops and floating crocodile farm. Afternoon we visit the local Market in Siem Reap city.
Option 2 – Validity from October – March
This afternoon we visit the famous Tonle Sap Lake, KampungPlukk on a boat trip out. This shallow lake boats the largest natural fresh water body in Southeast Asia and flows into the Tonle Sap River which joins the Mekong River in Phnom Penh. The traditional boat navigates along a small river towards the gigantesque lake, giving us a chance to explore floating village, local life style, friendly children in small boats and fishermen pulling in morning catch close up. DAY 3: SIEM REAP – DRIVE TO PHNOM PENH BY PRIVATE VEHICLE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will transfer to Phnom Penh by private vehicle. Upon arrival, meet guide and transfer to check in hotel then visit the visit Independence & Victoria Monuments. Take a stroll along the Chaktomok 4-Faces River. This evening, we cruise along the Mekong River to admire sunset & Enjoy Set Dinner on the Golden Cruise Ferry. Accommodation in Phnom Penh
DAY 4: PHNOM PENH, CAPITAL OF CITY TOUR (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel, today we visit the private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred temple in the country. We continue seeing this delightful city with the National Museum, which is exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th century, but some date from as early as the 4th century. We climb up a small hill to visit the legendary Wat Phnom and catch a fantastic view over the surrounding area. Afternoon we continue to The TuolSleng Genocide Museum is located in the city centre and chronicles the period of the genocide under Pol Pot. The site is a former high school, which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. TuolSleng means "Hill of the Poisonous Trees" or "Strychnine Hill". TuolSleng was only one of at least 150 execution centers in the country and as many as 20,000 prisoners there were later killed. The next stop is one of the city’s lively open markets, PsarToul Tom Pong; all called the “Russian Market”. We enjoy a walk around this bustling trading center and see plenty of local handicrafts and artifacts. Accommodation in Phnom Penh
DAY 5: PHNOM PENH - DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel,today is free at leisure until time for transfer to the airport for departure flight. Trip End!!!
